Intricate kantha and bullion knot hand embroidery is done to make it an artisanal piece.
We believe that our clients would love to know how our garments are made. 4 meters of linen are crafted to make this dress. The lines are first drawn with wax to form square, box-like panels. Alternate boxes are filled with wax on the fabric to create the resist and then dyed in indigo. Then, the marigold petals are placed on the indigo boxes to create eco prints on them. The fabric is then put into hot water to melt the wax. Finally, it is washed in cold water to achieve the resist-dye technique of wax batik. It is steamed before the wax is melted to get the marigold eco print. Our tailor semi-stitches the garment and prepares it for the detailing. After all the detailing is completed, it goes back to our tailor for final stitching and finishing.
