CURATOR'S NOTE
Handwoven unisex shackets are skillfully crafted using our recycled fabric with the extra weft technique on frame looms. Each jacket is made from Rias Jaipur's own manufacturing waste collected over the past year, undergoing meticulous re-weaving and re-imagining for a fresh and unique appearance. This sustainable and eco-friendly fashion choice is created entirely from 100% cotton. Please note that the jacket is not eligible for returns, but it can be customized to your preferred fit and length, ensuring a personalized and stylish addition to your wardrobe.
THE DESIGNER STORY
A young clothing brand based in Jaipur, Rias is more than just a label. Focusing on two ancient crafts of India, DABU AND BLOCK PRINTING, it is a cocktail of ancient printing techniques of Rajasthan. An attempt to keep these crafts alive, Rias is a bridge between the craftsmen's' skills and modern designs. The Brand's aim is to innovate and create new and striking outfits, using a combination of old techniques and modern design skills to fit in mainstream fashion. Everything from the fibers used, to the end fabric is handmade and void of any machine work. The handspun khadi and hand block printing provides employment to a large number of people in various villages of West Bengal and Rajasthan, which in turn ensures a better standard of living for those involved. The finished products are completely sustainable, made in India, by India and are eco-friendly.
