The Designer's Story
Mishé is a contemporary womenswear brand by Bhumika and Minakshi Ahluwalia, a doting mother and a loving daughter duo. Mishé’s first-ever collection “Intoku”, which refers to an ancient Japanese tradition of doing good deeds secretly. Intoku derives inspiration from the classical and the contemporary. Classical hues are from the rich pattern makings techniques mastered by Japan craftsmen, while the contemporary forms are drawn from the popular abstract geometric art of German installation artist Clemens Behr. The brand incorporates sustainable fabrics, zero wastage and fair artisanal work practices. It also incorporates a distinct interplay of three Indian fabrics; Jute, Linen, Khadi along with handspun naturally dyed threads which only further adds to the intrigue called Intoku.
