The designer story
Paño (पानयों) means "Cloth" in Spanish. A homegrown label born out of curiosity to create something new from the existing.
The brand story of Paño is unique in itself as Paño is an imaginative character who is always in search of new stories. Paño believes that everything has been done but not by you and when you do it you create something new.
From the medium of Paño, we want to show the beauty and intricacy of our Indian crafts through the eyes of a foreigner. Paño is a true believer of slow fashion. The brand makes clothes in small batches, focusing on high-quality production.
Their garments are made with traditional hand-woven fabrics that support rural communities, directly collaborating with weavers in small villages using locally sourced cotton. The cotton used in the weaving process grows without the use of chemical pesticides which eventually requires less water and is gentle on the land. Because it is a natural fiber, it is bio-degradable and recyclable.
As a homegrown label, the brand has a small family-like team, the happy magicians who work very hard behind the curtains to help Paño create the magic people adore. When you wear Paño, you know your unique piece of art was made with respect for artisans and our mother earth.
