Curator's Note

The 'V' Neck Dress is a quirky dress made with toss muga silk. The naturally dyed dress features a flattering V neck and A-line silhouette. The dress has a modest slightly over the knee length hemline and is finished off with patch pocket details. This piece can easily be worn from an everyday look to a special occassion wear.

The Designer Story 

Ura Maku is the combination of two Assamese words “Ura” & “Maku”. Ura means to fly and Maku defines the shuttle (Textile shuttle). So, put together, Ura Maku expresses a feeling to fly with high dreams yet rooted in their soul. The brand believes that textile is the origin or first step towards fashion. A shuttle is a crucial part while weaving and the brand appreciates the hard work put into the creation of the fabric first, without which clothes will be a mere imagination. The look of the brand's clothes is all about simplicity, driven by a focus on shape, texture, and proportion, making it a stylish, timeless & futuristic clothing line of apparel.
