Curator's note

Inspired by the communication between the moon and the ocean, is the gravitational pull. The 3 cushion covers show the rise and fall of the moon and the effect it has on the ocean. The amalgamation of a traditional dip dying technique and minimal geometric shapes, complimenting the perfect symmetry of the moon and the organic nature of water. The dip dye technique expresses water beautifully creating tints and shades of blue to create an alluring ombre effect. Each piece is individually hand crafted and unique creating different waves. The cushions come with a subtle button closure detail tying the design to its entirety.

In a world full of clutter, Subtract is meant to make you take a step back from an unceasing continuum. It pays attention to the more elemental and everyday aspects of life.

Bringing you a small part of this intangible consciousness through our products, bound together with pure forms, precision, and simplicity using only the essentials, Subtract is minimalism in design, material and thought - everything stripped down to the bare minimum. A product, yes, but also an invitation to live simpler.
